Snow-covered Land

Wizards is starting its drift away from Ravnica, toward Coldsnap.  Snow-covered lands are making a comeback, it seems, as a pack of 40 comes with the “Fat Pack,” which looks like it has a novel, die, and other random Magic related things.  I was somewhat surprised to see them, as they were fairly useless when they were new, but given new cards around them, I’m anxious to see what use they can make of them.

This weekend, Laura and I had the pleasure of attending an out-door wedding by a pond on Saturday, followed by my trip to Dillons for taco supplies while Laura entertained herself at the reception.

Sunday was my sister’s graduation from the University of Kansas, where she obtained a degree in the History of Art.  In her near future lies a series of part-time jobs while she explores this country of ours over the summer, followed by an extensive search for a full-time position somewhere, likely with art being involved somehow.  The day brought back many memories for myself and Laura, and we feel a strong desire to head back to school.  Laura has decided to dive deeper into education, while I am as yet undecided.  So many subjects I find interesting, it is difficult to sift through them and make a decision.  Ahh well, maybe in a few months something can be decided.  Until then, free-time.
