Time is winding down in the apartment. Cable has been lined up at the new place, and will be pretty extreme. Digital phone, 200+ channels, and some Road Runner all coming at us. Plus, a DVR. Finally, we’re stepping into the recent past.
Magic night happened over the weekend. Sven, Sully, and Heath were in attendance, and Anna’s Steve was there in spirit. Hopefully next time he will be in physical form. Sven, armed with the Boros Legion, cleanly won the tourney format, trouncing everyone in the room, while I with my Gruul Clans only won the group game because Heath, master of the Selesnya Conclave, was being generous. Sully, armed with the Cult of Rakdos, saved my life even though I was to kill him later, and Sven took an enormous bite out of Heath before his own demise. I’m thinking of making the Magic nights more regular, the second Saturday or the month perhaps.
Over the weekend, I experimented with three flavors of Rip It, a tall energy drink at half the price of Monster or Socko. The first, Lime Wrecker, tasted awful. Like Sprite, heavy on the carbonated water, with a tart lime aftertaste. Stay far, far away from it. I tried the second today, Citrus X. It’s an average orange drink. Tasted ok, but as with both the drinks, the energy just wasn’t there. Maybe it’s because I’ve been drinking them in the morning, but it just isn’t doing it for me. It looks like the main ingredient is caffeine, so that could be the culprit. Tomorrow will be the final test for this drink when I try Atomic Pom. If this doesn’t put it over the edge, Rip It will no longer be considered when I find myself in the mood for an energy drink. On a side note, I visited the Socko website for the first time while writing this. There is something magical about running your mouse over “Socko your face!” repeatedly that I just don’t get from the other energy drink
One of these days, I’m going to raid the Kolache Factory. I’ll let you know what I find.

I believe I’ve tried Rip It, because it was cheap.
I tried ‘power’ the one with sugar.
It seemed like Rip It was available in sugar free versions.
I wonder if Atomic Pom is the ‘power’ to which I refer.
I migth get a DS Lite for my flying.
Some games, too.
What time would you want me to be at the apartment of yesterday?
The cheapness is why I experimented with it as well. The extra dollar will be spent in the future. Atomic Pom was ok, closer to regular energy drink taste, but still not the best. Rip It has a Power in addition to Atomic Pom.
A DS Lite would be excellent. I’ve thought long and hard about one for myself, as there are quite a few games I found pretty interesting.
The U-Haul reservation is at 7:30 AM. You can come with me for that, or we can meet up at the apartment shortly thereafter.
i wrote cd71, should be up soon
I am unable to wait! Spoiler was read on cleverninja.com, and am even more excited!
