The Future Sight pre-release happened last week. I beat a girl playing one of her first Magic matches, lost to a serious guy, beat someone who was somehow involved in the event, and lost to Steve. Packs were split, and we had a good day. I ran a black/red deck heavy in creature elimination, light on creatures. When it worked, it worked well. My MBA program has been shortened by 4 credit hours, so we only need 48 credits to graduate. I’m torn, as I already had plans for those credits. Now I’ll have to rethink my areas of concentration and my elective choices. There are so many classes I’d love to take, but the time in which to take them is far too short.

it just made me a little sad looking at your magic page.
you’ve earned 3-1 at all the recorded tournaments, except those where i await you at the end.
i also think i just decided, that from my end, if you want to always pack-split, even if one of us goes 0-4 and the other goes 4-0, i’d be down.
i don’t think i’d feel used, plus the good parts of the precon are
1) designing a deck with the new cards
2) seeing new cards
3) peppering our decks with new cards
really i’m just thinking that there will be a time when one of us goes 4-0 and the other goes 3-0-1.
ooh, or if we both go 4-0, we could fight eachother in the end to earn ‘rare dib rights.’

You reminded me I need to pull together a card listing. It probably won’t be till late this week that I have it prepared.
On the Magic page, I started keeping track of decks once I tasted that first victory in the Ice Age block fight. Your decks had always been able to beat mine, even when we did a casual fight with Ravnica decks back at my place. I think I go into our fights differently than I would against a random opponent. Packs are assured, and our fight a formality.
I’d be down with splitting winnings.
