Pei Wei Hack

You know that sauce your server at PF Chang’s makes at your table? Well you can make the same sauce at their faster food counterpart, Pei Wei, quicker than they can deliver your order.

We’ll start with what your server does at PF Chang’s first. They’ll mix a spoonful of spicy mustard, a spoonful of chili sauce, then add in equal parts vinegar, chili oil, and soy sauce until the mixture is a nice runny liquid.

At Pei Wei though, you’re your own server. You see once you sit down you have some soy sauce at your table, a few extra plates, and a couple napkins; hardly the equipment the PF Chang’s server has at his disposal. But that can be easily fixed.

Step 1: Locate the condiment shelves. They are probably across the restaurant from where you entered, near the cola fountains.

Step 2: After ordering, approach the condiment rack. You’ll notice two condiment jars, spicy mustard, and chili sauce. Take one of each to your table.

Step 3: In one of the spare plates at your table, place one spoonful of mustard, one of chili sauce, and douse it with soy sauce until it’s the same runny consistency as at PF Chang’s. It’s going to look darker brown, but that’s only because you’re relying on soy sauce only for proper consistency.

Step 4: Dip your food in it until you fine tune its heat level through adding soy or chili/mustard. Pei Wei sauce complete!
