Sunday in France

Today we had our tour of the region. We took a bus into the mountains about 20 min. out of the city where there is just farmland as far as you can see. It’s like a hilly Kansas, only there isn’t anything growing in any of the fields. It reminded me of Monty Python’s mud farmers. There was no cell phone signal (not that I get signal anyway), and the people out there do not speak any English. It was windy, cold, and rainy in the mountains, so we all wished we had worn warmer clothing.

We saw a castle, which was not as much fun due to the cold, windy weather. Many pictures were still taken, and the camera survived the rain. We then went to a Romanesque church, which was very cool inside.

We formed groups, and mine will be pretty sweet. We ate at one of the few stores open on Sunday, and I had a pretty good chicken sandwich and fries (with ketchup!). A very good day.

Oh, and there may be some duplicate pictures posted today, I forgot to delete them from the camera last time I posted, and I don’t want to look through them to figure out which can be gotten rid of.

Great pictures! You’ll have to explain some of the castle shots. I like the natural fences.

Do you know the name of the castle?

    Yep, it’s Chateau de Murol.

It doesn’t look good for it, but I think it’d be sweet to just hang out around the castle and write.
