Two weeks ago, the fence that surrounds our back yard came down in a battle of wills, man vs ground.  Man won.

Since this epic battle that lasted began at first light and continued ferociously into the early evening, many a great flower patch has been leveled.  Over each an epic plot of sod has been laid.  Toward the far end, where the Southern sky reaches toward the ground, many a blade of grass has fallen under Laura’s mighty spray.  Over they’re dead a black tarp to to prevent them from coming back has been laid, and over that multiple inches of red tree bark.

As we turn our attention toward the Northern stretch of land, in the South, hoses run near constantly, sprinkling life giving water on to the rows of sod left in our wake.
